Alleged drug dealer busted in Noordwyk

MIDRAND – A man was arrested by Midrand police on charges of drug possession.

 

An alleged drug dealer was arrested in Noordwyk during a joint operation by the police, community policing forums and security companies on 19 April.

The man was arrested after large quantities of various types of drugs was allegedly found in his possession.

Sectors 2 and 3 of the Midrand Community Policing Forum, security companies including Griffin and ARN, and the police joined forces in this successful operation.

Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono from Midrand police said, “Midrand police would like to thank all persons involved in the operation as this has yielded positive results in keeping these drugs off the streets. This would not have been possible without the community’s involvement.”
