Enough is enough for Rabie Ridge community members who held a march to the police station
MIDRAND – The Rabie Ridge community members march to their local police station. Here's why.
Rabie Ridge community members marched to their local police station to hand over a memorandum to the station commander and the City of Johannesburg mayoral committee on 1 April.
The police received a memorandum related to crime and complaints against the police; and the City received a memorandum focused on service delivery and housing construction.

The community marched for the following reasons:
- Slow response time from police
- Lack of feedback on investigated cases
- No police visibility
- Lack of crime prevention
- High crime rate
- Community participation in the crime forum
- Construction of low-cost housing.
Rabie Ridge Police Station’s corporate communications officer Captain Mofana Masela said Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Johana Ngoma would respond to the memorandum soon along with the City, but the date is not yet known.
