Turning a good page in Yenzani’s book
MIDRAND – Ward 112 and Ward 23 councillors participate in a book drive in celebration of Human Rights Day.
Ward 122 councillor Madeleine Hicklin and Ward 23 councillor Sarah Wissler visited Yenzani Children’s Home in Midrand on 24 March.
In light of Human Rights Day which was commemorated on 21 March, Hicklin and Wissler aimed to spend the day contributing to the benefit of the community.

“Wissler enlisted the help of Need2Read’s founder, Sheldon Spear, for a book drive project which saw Spear autograph two books for each of the children to inspire them to read more,” said Hicklin.
She said games, puzzles and other books were given to the home as a donation to assist in the growth and development of the children.
The councillors were joined by Yenzani trustee, Bev Shipley, and Democratic Alliance Ward 112 branch chairperson, Andrew Osmond.
