Laptops, iPhones, tablets and cameras stolen at Mall of Africa shop

MIDRAND – Police are looking for thieves who walked away with R80 000 worth of items on 31 March.

 

Police are looking for suspects who broke into the Incredible Connection store at Mall of Africa on the night of 31 March.

More than four men smashed through the glass door of the store and stole items to the value of R80 000. Items stolen include laptops, MacBooks, iPhones, tablets and cameras.

Spokesperson for Midrand Police Station Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Senomo confirmed the incident but no suspects have been arrested. “Although the suspects were caught on CCTV cameras, their identity has not been established yet as they covered their faces with stockings. The case is, however, under investigation,” he said.

Incredible Connection manager Patricia Khumalo declined to comment on the matter. The operations manager for Mall of Africa, Noella Driver had not responded to questions sent to her by the time of publication.
