Democratic Alliance in Midrand calls for removal of Zuma
MIDRAND – Democratic Alliance Midrand branches held a silent protest above the N1 to rally support against President Jacob Zuma.
A handful of disgruntled members of the Democratic Alliance (DA) held a silent protest on Bridal Veil Street Bridge near the Mall of Africa in Midrand on 31 March.
The protest was in response to the cabinet reshuffle by President Jacob Zuma in which Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan was removed and replaced by former Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba.

Ward 132 councillor Annette Deppe led a protest of about 20 adults, with the hope of raising awareness. They held boards on the bridge above the N1 calling for drivers to hoot in their support of the messages.
People will be marching to Luthuli House on 7 April with the hopes of garnering support strong enough to remove the beleaguered president.
Deppe said the cabinet reshuffle was the last straw and something has to be done to stop Zuma, for the sake of South Africa.
