The Midrand High School U17 soccer team beat Blue Hills College 3–2 in a home fixture.
Sports administrator at the school, Kwazi Shangase said, “The boys played a stellar game and showed why they are the best team in the district this year. These boys have constantly shown up year after year in each age group and dominated.”

The school has partnered with Golden Knights Soccer Academy to coach the school’s senior soccer teams. “We hope their [academy] contribution will elevate and up-skill our boys to be the best in Gauteng,” added Shangase.
