The school’s Afrikaans teacher Carolien van den Berg who has more than 14 years experience in the dance industry coaches the dance team.

Van den Berg said she was very proud of the dancers and explained that dancing was a comfortable and peaceful space for those schoolchildren who find it difficult to express themselves in other ways.

The children are building a great foundation that can only be made stronger in the future, said Van den Berg.

There was great confidence and excitement among the dance team as they hosted St Peter’s College and Redhill College.
