Beauty for Ashes conference in Midrand inspires women

MIDRAND – Women inspired to stand tall at the Beauty for Ashes conference in Glen Austin, Midrand.

Midrand resident Asanda Sibobi hosted the Beauty for Ashes conference at Indzwao Guest House in Glen Austin to inspire women to stand together.

The conference was attended by about 14 women.

Sibobi said the aim of the conference was to create a space where a woman could crown other women and share experiences to strengthen and encourage each other.

Women of substance inspire each other at the Beauty for Ashes conference.

“We as women have become accustomed to comparing our beauty, creating divisions among each other to the point that when negative things are said about another woman, instead of condemning those words, we are the first to laugh,” warned Sibobo.

Nhlanhla Mncwango, one of the speakers, encouraged women to be strong and not question the tough journey they were faced with, but embrace it and overcome it.

Pastor Yvonne Ndlela warned women to be vigilant and aware of their actions and words towards their children because most of the damage done takes place during childhood.

The Beauty for Ashes conference aims to break down the chains that divide women and help create unity and sisterhood.
