Robbery on Le Roux Bridge

MIDRAND – Two men robbed at knifepoint on Le Roux Bridge in Midrand.

 

Two men, who were walking along the Le Roux bridge in Midrand, were robbed at knifepoint by two suspects on 4 January.

The victims were crossing the bridge when two men approached them and robbed the victims of a laptop, cellphone and a pair of takkies, which one of the victims was wearing.

According to Midrand police, the victims then went home to change out of their dirty clothes after they had been wrestled to the ground during the robbery. Then, while on their way to report the matter to their residential agent, the men recognised one of the suspects who was still carrying their stolen items.

With the help passersby, the suspect was restrained until the police arrived. He was arrested and has given an indication of the whereabouts of the remaining suspect, who is yet to be apprehended.
