Ward 132 councillor Annette Deppe has wished all the constituents in Ward 132 a very happy and prosperous Christmas.
“We had a rough time with water pipes bursting, water shortages, contractors all over the ward, illegal businesses, high crime rates and taxi violence. All these issues are being addressed and will continue to be addressed,” said Deppe.
The councillor said some capital items would be added to next year’s financial plan.
Deppe added that the community needed to guard against racism and be mindful that the ward was diverse and was home to many different cultures, therefore, tolerance of those who were different must be a priority.
“Thank you for all your support during the elections. I wish you all a blessed festive season.”
