Midrand’s Ward 112 councillor, Madeleine Hicklin together with Joburg Water have addressed the issue of a dangerous hole on the pavement outside the New Road Office Park which was troubling the community and a danger to pedestrians.
Hicklin contacted Ian Cooper of Joburg Water to assess and resolve the matter on 30 November. A Joburg Water team was sent out to investigate and, upon arrival, cordoned off the area while they worked to fill in the hole.

Akani Shibambu of Joburg Water’s Midrand Depot confirmed that the hole was filled on 4 December, but the pavement had not yet been completely reinstated.
