Little ones graduate

MIDRAND – Tree Tops Montessori in Midrand held their annual concert and graduation.

Tree Tops Montessori in Midrand held its annual school concert as well as a graduation recently.

Principal of the school, Jenny de Kock, said Tree Tops is committed to encouraging children to believe in themselves as they enjoy singing, dancing, performing and speaking in front of a live audience, which builds their confidence naturally.

The Grade R children played a role in preparing for the concert as they wrote the script, helped with choreography and ideas.

One of the parents, Jayshree Pather said, “The Tree Tops Montessori concert was such a delight to all that attended. The highlight for me was that there has recently been the addition of smaller children under three years of age to Tree Tops and, due to their young age, they didn’t fully grasp that they were not supposed to participate in all the performances. They decided to join in all the acts when they knew either the words or actions.”

“We would like to wish all our Grade R graduates everything of the best as they head off towards their primary school years. We know that they are well prepared to face all the challenges that Grade 1 has to offer and we will follow their future successes eagerly,” said De Kock.
