ALEXANDRA – Two accused in half million rand medicine theft get R3 000 bail each.

Two former employees of a pharmaceutical company accused of theft were granted bail of R3 000 each by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
They will reappear in court on 14 December after a further investigation is completed. Four others arrested with them were released due to a lack of evidence.
The six worked at the company’s (Adcock Ingram) distribution depot in Midrand when they allegedly stole two pallets of 200 boxes of medicine on the night of 7 October while on duty. The discovery was made on 10 October. The total value of the medicine which has not yet been found is R541 000. The two were identified through video footage which led to the arrest of all six.
