Rabie Ridge police officers are proud of their achievements for the month of October.
Spokesperson for Rabie Ridge Police Station, Captain Mofana Masela provided the following information on different cases.
Cases from Rabie Ridge policing areas (Rabie Ridge, Mayibuye and Phomolong) include:
- More than seven suspects were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition
- 16 suspects were arrested for public drinking
- 30 suspects were arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (10 of them were domestic violence cases)
- 30 suspects were arrested for drunk driving
- 5 women were arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 16 suspects were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs
- 8 suspects were arrested for theft
- 1 suspect was arrested for rape
“All these suspects were charged. Some are still on trial at Tembisa Magistrates’ Court,” said Masela.
