Group chief executive officer of Fury Ford, Marq Roberts said, “Our involvement in supporting various SPCAs located in the communities where our motor dealerships are located has a very special place in our hearts, because we feel that the domestic animals who are often so desperately in need of care because of human neglect or cruelty, is often very low profile compared to the many endangered wildlife programmes which receive so much media attention and corporate support.”

Roberts added that the company’s involvement, specifically with the Midrand SPCA, goes back almost 10 years and has included a number of upgrade programmes over this time. “Besides providing the funding for all the materials used in the upgrade, carrying out the work gives our staff a great opportunity to interact outside of the office in the spirit of team-building, with the satisfaction that their time and labour is being used in support of improving the animals living conditions.”

“The Midrand SPCA’s outreach programme, which provides some form of healthcare and food on a weekly basis for the pets of the many underprivileged children from the nearby communities, is an inspiration for all and something which makes Midrand SPCA a very special place to spend some time in giving back to the communities that support our business,” Roberts concluded.
