Fashion show to celebrate heritage

MIDRAND – Figures Model Finesse International Midrand branch puts on a fashion show.

 

Figures Models Finesse International Midrand branch, in partnership with Tintswalo Group and Carlswald Lifestyle Centre, hosted a heritage fashion show at Carlswald Lifestyle Centre and the models were dressed by fashion designers.

The show thrust into the spotlight work by fashion designers, events coordination companies, décor companies, health, beauty and hair companies, make-up artists, DJs and more.

Juliet Keagile, Figures Models Finesse International – Midrand branch owner said, “The aim of the heritage show was to give a platform and to promote small businesses that complement the modelling industry by showcasing their talent and creations and to give models practical situations in terms of working with fashion designers so the models can understand the industry,” she said.

Models, Lelethu and Lilitha Mda’s mother, Kuliswa Mda said modelling has taught her children to have confidence and grace. “Their father initially helped them join and the idea was just for them to be more self-assured and confident but if they want to take it further as a career we will support them all the way,” said Kuliswa.

Bryan Nare, Mathapelo Moloali, Boipelo Hlapane and Nkosana Mafu were some of the designers who were there on the day, showcasing their work.
