School’s charity outreach programme a success

MIDRAND – Nursery schools receive care packages and groceries from two schools in Midrand.

 

Carlswald House Preparatory and 345 Nursery School pupils and their parents recently held a charity drive that saw them collecting care packages and groceries for nursery schools and daycare centres in Tembisa.

Principal of the nursery school, Stewart Tagg said, “We provided the care packs and groceries to five schools in Tembisa – Christine’s Creche and Little Hero’s, Angel Day-Care, Nidivuho Pre-school and Tseang Malebesi Pre-school.”

Tagg said that 345 Nursery School collected toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, paint sets and crayons. “A total of 100 bags were made up. Carlswald House Preparatory brought groceries and canned food. The groceries brought in, amounted to R20 000.

“The staff delivered the care packs and groceries. We received such a warm welcome and great appreciation from all the schools in Tembisa. A huge thank you to all our parents for helping with this charity drive.”
