Meet your artisan in Midrand

MIDRAND – Calling all digital or lithography printing employers to speed meet your artisan.

Printing South Africa in collaboration with Federation of European Screen Printers Associations is holding the Jamboree Week of Print’s Speed meet your Artisan event based on the speed dating concept.

Chief executive officer of Printing South Africa, Steve Thombela, said in this unique speed interviewing event in which 13 successful students of the Printing SA digital programme as well as five apprentices from the 2015 Technical Theoretical block specialising in lithography, will be introduced to prospective employers.

Each company will be given the platform to spend five minutes with each of the 18 students. Thombela explained that by the time they’re done, employers should have a good idea as to which of the organisation’s graduates they would want to employ.

He said, “Companies looking for students to employ have the perfect platform to meet and determine which of these individuals will fit their selection criteria, all in one day, allowing employers more time at work.”

Members of Printing South Africa within the digital, lithography printing fields and creative agencies are invited to participate. “We at Printing SA believe that this is a valuable platform for our members and trust they will find real value in participating. As a federation for printers and packagers, we encourage others to enter the industry and to join this body and represent the interests of the printing and packaging industry,” said Thombela.

Prospective employers can view the 18 graduates and their profiles on www.printingsa.org ahead of the event.
