Ivory Park Police Station welcomes new station commander

MIDRAND – New Station Commander appointed at Ivory Park Police Station.

 

Members of Ivory Park Police Station welcomed Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo on 18 July as the new station commander.

Ngcobo took over from the station’s former commander, Brigadier Frank Mthombheni who was appointed as deputy cluster commander of the Tembisa Cluster.

Ngcobo previously served at several police stations, including Jeppe Police Station as station commander, and has been in the police force for 26 years.

Ngcobo said, “After reviewing crime statistics, the focus will be to reduce problematic crimes in Ivory Park. House robberies and business robberies are on a high in the area and we want to reduce crime and make the area safer for the community. My aim is also to mobilise the community to continue to work together with the police to fight crime.”

Ivory Park Police Station’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “We welcome the station commander as he takes over the station.

“He and the police officers at our station are fully committed to fighting crime in our policing area.”
