DA’s Ward 110 candidate, councillor Robert Patel has more than 30 years of experience in community service and has served on the Midrand/Rabie Ridge council for nine years.
Patel is also the former councillor and former member of the Congress of South African Trade Unions. According to Patel, the DA is gunning for power in the City of Johannesburg with the aim of ending corruption, unemployment and crime, and improving housing, service delivery, waste removal, supply of electricity and education. The party also wants to offer a 24-hour clinic for the community and free transport allowance for job-seekers.
