Eleven children injured in school bus collision

KYA SANDS – On 21 July, a school bus was involved in a collision on the corner of River Road and Main Road in Kya Sands.

Emer-G-Med reported that paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a school bus transporting children between the ages of five and ten had collided with another vehicle.

Eleven children suffered from minor injuries. They were treated on the scene before being transported to nearby farcicalities for further care.

Reports indicate that the drive of the light motor vehicle involved in the collision sustained moderate injuries and was transported by provincial services under Advanced Life Support care.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. The South African Police Service were on the scene to investigate the matter.
