Robbed outside work

NOORDWYK – A woman waiting for a taxi outside her workplace is robbed by two men.

A woman who was waiting for a taxi outside her workplace on 14th Road in Noordwyk, was recently robbed by two men.

In a statement to the police, the woman said she was waiting outside the gate of her workplace at around 7pm when she was approached by two men who were dressed in blue and black clothes.

They allegedly demanded her cellphone. As she was looking through her bag for her cellphone, the men grabbed her handbag and fled.

Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at Midrand Police Station said, “The men took a handbag that had contents worth R7 500. The victim’s driver’s license was also in the bag.”

No arrests have been made as yet.
