The good work continues

IVORY PARK – Keller Williams Ultimate team hand out food and toys to disadvantaged children at Thuthukani Centre in Ivory Park.

Thuthukani Centre in Ivory Park was the beneficiary of a real estate company’s generosity.

The centre has an after-school programme for disadvantaged children in which they are given daily meals.

Keller Williams Ultimate estate agents has an annual tradition of choosing an organisation within the community to help out. “With over 140 000 agents worldwide, you can only imagine the global impact,” said the agency’s operating principal in Midrand, Sharon Jordaan, speaking of their annual initiative.

“[The centre is in] continuous need of assistance. They host approximately 450 children from one to 18 years of age,” said Jordaan.

The centre provides aftercare and daycare facilities, adoption services, a child development centre, foster care, infant care and nurseries. This year, the company’s team painted the external boundary walls of the centre, entertained the children with face painting, provided food and juice as well as donated toys and clothes.

Jordaan wished to thank their sponsors who made the charitable deed possible. These included Cap Cubed Finance, Damian Anthony at Colour Creations, Osiris SEO and Finance at Osiris Trading, Mondrea Security Services, Jacqui Jones, Barry Hutton, Sheila Rowe and Deon Naidoo and many local people.

Rob Jones, CEO of the company said, “I think these children do more for us than what we are doing for them. Truly an amazing privilege and experience.”

As this was an on-going initiative, the company said they were looking forward to engaging with their partners, organisations and the general public to continue helping with making a difference within Midrand.
