INITIAL REPORT: 28 April 2016, 8am – Thousands of Joburgers are flocking to the grand opening of the much talked about Mall of Africa today in an attempt to make use of their opening specials at the stores.
The route towards the mall is said to be heavily congested because of the high traffic volumes.
People are queuing in long lines just to get in to some of the stores take advantage of many of the specials at the stores.
Many shoppers became frustrated with a struggle to find a parking spot and contend with the high traffic volumes outside the mall. They then resorted to parking their vehicles on traffic islands near the mall to gain a quicker entry to the mall.
