Netcare 911 and security company partner up
MIDRAND – When in a motor vehicle accident, follow these steps.
Netcare 911 and Ria Sebetsa Security Services have formed a partnership to provide a medical response to Ria Sebetsa Security Services’ clients.
General manager of national operations of Netcare 911, Shalen Ramduth explained, “All clients will have access through the security company’s call centre and will be diverted to Netcare 911. This covers all medical emergencies such an accidental fall, road accident, heart attacks and more.”
Ramduth said the partnership is focused on the Midrand community and is an exciting partnership, as Netcare 911’s head office is located in Midrand.
Ria Sebetsa Security Services’ chief executive officer, Danny Maduray said he is excited about the partnership. “Ria Sebetsa will also provide a security presence for paramedics if they feel that, while responding to an emergency, their lives may be in danger, especially at night.”
Netcare 911 advises that when you are involved in an accident, you must follow these steps:
- If you have been injured in an accident, first check yourself for any injuries, then check others who may be in the car with you. Try to assess how well you can move your limbs, and if you experience symptoms such as dizziness
- Do not move any injured people, wait for a medically trained person to do so
- Seek medical attention
- Call the police
- Get information on who the people involved in the accident are and get information from eyewitnesses
- Take photographs of the scene
- Do not move the vehicle
- Do not stay in a vehicle that is burning or in a vehicle that is likely to get hit again. Remove yourself from the dangerous area first to avoid further injury
- Do not agree to a recorded statement without legal counsel.
