Youngster goes home with trolley full of toys
WOODMEAD – A youngster recently walked away with a trolley full of toys from Toys R Us in Woodmead.
Midrand resident, eight-year-old Mikael Thusi got the opportunity to go toy shopping after he entered the Silly Season campaign launched by Nu Metro Cinemas and Toys R Us. He collected just under R11 000 worth of toys.
To qualify for the prize, Thusi initially entered the competition at Nu Metro Clearwater, where he went to watch Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip over the December holidays.
Some of the toys he managed to collect in his 60-second trolley dash included a Sony PS4 gaming console along with a variety of games and action figures.
Those who enter the competition, but don’t win the trolley dash prize, still stand a chance to win a R3 000 gift voucher from Toys R Us and special goodies from Nu Metro Cinemas.
