According to Emer-G-Med, the events leading up to the accident are unknown but on arrival paramedics found the taxi up against a fence, alongside the road.
Eight passengers of the taxi sustained minor to moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate.
