Sun Valley gets knowledgeable about cons and criminals

SUN VALLEY - Making A Difference (Mad) Domestic Watch in Sun Valley will host a new lesson on criminal cons on 18 February, which aims to highlight warning signs of potential danger and old and new cons used.

The meeting will be held from 11am at La Fiorentina on Champion and Bridle Pass roads in Midrand.

Founder of Mad, Penny Steyn thinks that domestic workers are often blamed for being conned by criminals.

“I think sometimes they just don’t know any better. Frankly, there is no room left for them not to be empowered and knowledgeable about the cons criminals use,” said Steyn.

“The criminals either devise methods or new clever cons to get into our properties. We have to go into all details of their despicable methodology to make sure we stop them.”
