Midrand SPCA in need of donation for a canopy
MIDRAND - Midrand SPCA is requesting assistance with raising R10 000 for a canopy for a vehicle that has been purchased for the society, a Mahindra Bolero.
Midrand SPCA’s chairperson Brenda Lucas said, “Unfortunately, the company that initially committed to donate the canopy has since withdrawn their sponsorship for reasons we are not aware of, and we now find ourselves in a position of having to find the funds to pay for the canopy, which will cost R10 000”
Lucas said the society would appreciate if any member of the public or business could assist with a donation. The animal shelter is a Level 4 BBEEE contributor, and an 18A tax exemption certificate can be issued for any donations upon request.
The SPCA would also like to thank Cowan Signs for the signage on the SPCA vehicles, as well as Midrand Canopy Centre for rubberising the vehicles. Lucas added that both companies have supported the society with regard to the signage and rubberising for a long time.
