Two suspects bust for possession of bakkie

MIDRAND - Two men were recently arrested on the New Road off-ramp in Midrand for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, which was reported stolen at Modimolle Police Station in Limpopo.

 

Midrand police spokesperson, Constable Matome Tlamela said the suspects aged 28 and 31 were arrested on 23 January.

“The suspects were arrested when they were found in possession of the stolen vehicle, a white Isuzu,” said Tlamela. The suspects will soon appear in court charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

In another case, two men aged 30 and 34 were arrested on 6 January for allegedly stealing car parts from an auto body repair shop in Halfway House. Tlamela said it is alleged that two suspects, who are employees of the garage, stole car parts with an estimated value of R80 000 and the incident was captured on CCTV cameras.

Police are still investigating the matter and the suspects will soon appear in court on a charge of theft.
