Deadline extended for Waterfall Fields report

BUCCLEUCH – The deadline for the submission of issues and comments on the Waterfall Fields Mixed Use Development Project Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report has been extended by a week.

This announcement was made by Bokamoso Landscape Architects and Environmental Consultants and was issued to Buccleuch residents by the Buccleuch Residents’ Action Community (BRACe).

The reason for the extension is due to the e-mail system used by Bokamoso being out of order from 19 to 22 January.

The new submission date is 12 February, moved from 5 February, and this allows interested and affected parties to submit comments and register any issues on the report relating to the proposed development.

Bokamoso confirmed that e-mails were now working and urged residents to send their comments either electronically, via fax or telephonically.

The proposed project will see the development of a township consisting of a residential area, creche, school and businesses on part of the remainder of portion one of the Farm Waterval.

The site for the proposed project is situated north of Buccleuch to the south of the existing Allandale Road, to the east of the existing N1 highway and immediately to the west of the Gautrain Maintenance Yard.

It is furthermore located on the south-eastern corner of the intersection between the proposed K60 Provincial Road and the R101 Provincial Road.
