Furry friend found in restaurant

MIDRAND- The Midrand SPCA recently rescued a malnourished dog that had run into a local restaurant, presumably in search of food.

Brenda Lucas, chairperson of the association, said they have named the dog Ethiopia.

“We were contacted by the restaurant to assist,” said Lucas. She also said that the dog was frail and skinny when they rescued her.

“She is very emaciated and is currently on a special diet to help fatten her up,” she said.

Lucas said they welcomed any donations that were aimed at helping Ethiopia.

“Should people wish to help us feed Ethiopia and all the other animals in the SPCA, they can please contact the SPCA to help donate food.”

She stressed their need for food , “We are in desperate need of food as we have had over 300 animals donated to us since October last year to January this year and we cannot keep up with all the feeding.”
