Civil engineering reaches out to community

DIEPSLOOT – Construction company, King Civil Engineering, recently donated five trucks of sand to Diepsloot Combined School, Ext 6.

Deputy principal of the school, Ouma Makgota, explained that the sand would be used to level the school grounds and assist in paving.

Makgota added that the ground had been seriously damaged by erosion.

Yandisa Mbusi, community liaison officer for King Civil Engineering, said the donation was made as part of the company’s corporate social initiative, and after many complaints from the school.

“As a company it is vital that we give back to our community, and we are honored to have been able to assist,” Mbusi said, adding that the construction company planned on uplifting the community through many ways.
