SA to host Miss Heritage Global pageant

MIDRAND – South Africa will play host to thirty five country participants who will represent their various nations at the crowning of the annual Miss Heritage Global 2015 pageant on 15 November.

The Miss Heritage organisation has partnered with Tourism South Africa in order to host the star-studded, red carpet event, which will

take place at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. This year’s theme ‘Different Colours, One People’ will be an epic celebration of diverse cultures from around the globe.

Miss Heritage is a global beauty pageant that promotes tangible and intangible heritage. The pageant’s footprint is visible in all seven continents around the globe and has a strategic partner in, We for We, which is an International Women Empowerment Organization (based in India) in partnership with the United Nations.

SA Tourism CEO, Thulani Nzima stated, “True to former statesman and President Nelson Mandela’s vision of a rainbow nation, we are indeed a country steeped with a cross pollination of cultures, and a warm people which are embracing of the diversity of heritages around the world. This event positions us well to showcase that South Africa is indeed a home for all who live in it as well as to those who visit our shores.”

This year, contestants from Botswana, Croatia, Macedonia, Republic of Serbska, USA, Purte Rico, Dominican Republic, Canada, Peru, Serbia, India, Phillipines, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Venezuela, Spain, Cuba, Burkina Faso, Salvador, Haiti, Japan, Bahamas, Colombia, Uganda, Namibia, Brazil, Hungary and South Africa will be strutting it out for the title of Miss Heritage Global 2015.

The spectacular event will have a host of entertainment from Bucie, Busiswa and Black Motion as well as an exciting programme that will challenge the ladies in true South African hospitality. “Our core mandate as the Miss Heritage organisation is to celebrate the uniqueness of the different heritages while highlighting the similarities therein – because humanity remains the unifying factor for all these exceptional young women,” said President of the Miss Heritage organisation, Nhlanhla Shabangu.

The crowning ceremony of the Miss Heritage Global 2015 pageant will take place at Gallagher Estate, Midrand on 15 November.
