Move with the travelling market

Bella Donna Market in the Park will be a first of its kind in the artisanal market industry because this one will travel.

This means that market lovers from all around the country will get the chance to visit the cool, new travelling market. The innovative founder of the market, Kyra Cason, thought up the idea while sitting near Lonehill Lake and felt that it would be the perfect place for a gathering of this sort.

While the market will kick off on 22 November at Lonehill Boulevard Park, from 9am, she has big plans for the market and all the vendors are fully supportive of her ideas.

“We have had a great response from everyone, I think this new concept is a great one because it has everyone in suspense wanting to find out where the next one will be,” she said.

“I want it to travel so we can broaden our range and involve everyone. I want this market to pull in the masses with our events and be something continually changing and evolving to suit the clients’ needs.”

While the market is Joburg north-based for now, Cason wants the rest of the country to keep a lookout.

“In six months time we plan to expand and start including other locations. Ideally we’d like to build up such a hype that we do the market over three days in three different cities – Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.”

This market will definitely bring something new and it is for this reason that Cason doesn’t feel that it is competing with any of the other established markets.

“I think our market is in a league of its own, to be quite honest, with many years experience building markets and events all over the world, we have one thing that separates us and that is creativity,” Cason confidently noted.

“We innovate and find new gaps in the market and made this come to life.”
