Botshabelo Babies Home receives donation

CROWTHORNE - A Grade 9 class of Midrand Primary and High School recently initiated a charity event which saw secondhand clothes and household items being donated to Botshabelo Babies Home in Midrand.

The home cares for children and babies who have been abandoned, given up for adoption or removed from their families.

The school principal, Reuben Naidoo said, “Other pupils of the school joined the Grade 9s in contributing clothing items to the home. It was good to see the spirit of giving among our pupils – giving to those in need.”

Makopano Mutloatse, of Botshabelo Babies Home, thanked the school for the generous donation. “We are grateful for the donations which filled the home’s bakkie,” said Mutloatse.

“The donated goods will be sold at the Botshabelo Thrift Store to raise funds to support the home.”
