Delicious treat for Kanana residents

MIDRAND - The DA branch in Kanana which is part of Ward 80, shared a meal with orphans and some from child-headed homes.

DA PR councillor Richard Newby said, “The 56 orphans we met are usually provided a daily meal by Usizo Community Project, a non-profit organisation in Midrand.”

The DA branch sought donations in cash or kind and were able to provide a meal which included pap, beef stew with vegetables, snacks and sweets, an orange, cupcakes and cool drinks.

Rose Mazibuko, who runs the organisation said, “We are thankful for the time and meal donated to children in our daily feeding programme. The support was great.”
