Mix 93.8 Fm and partners donate books to school

MIDRAND - Mix 93.8 Fm, a Midrand-based radio station, together with library book service providers, Qualibooks, and Blue Groove Africa, recently donated R50 000 worth of educational and fictional books to Tlamatlama Primary School in Tembisa.

 

The radio station’s manager, Abigail Milosevich said, “The donation is a start to an ongoing campaign to provide underprivileged schools with a fully functional library. Elise Fish of Blue Groove Africa has been involved in library setups in schools for the past 14 years throughout South Africa.”

Milosevich explained that, together with Mix 93.8 FM and Qualibooks, they were looking forward to giving the power of reading to pupils in South Africa in the next year.

Qualibooks director, Christopher de Beer said, “Our company partners with organisations that share our passion for investing in the future of children, especially through improving their reading.”

Principal of Tlamatlama Primary School, Steve Dire said, “We are thankful for the donation, it will encourage our pupils to read more.”
