Suspects arrested on dagga charge

MIDRAND - Four men have been arrested for possession of dagga by Midrand police officers.

 

According to a statement made by the arresting officers, while they were on duty on the N1 North, they noticed a white Toyota Yaris with four men inside. They the car just before the Allandale offramp.

The police officers searched the car and found two packets of dagga. Although she did not give the street value of the dagga or the weight, Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at the station said, “The packets were as big as two adult-sized shoes.”

She said the four men were immediately arrested and will appear in court on a charge of possession of illegal substances.
