The Halfway House-based Child Welfare SA, received clothing on behalf of the Kempton Park Boys’ Shelter which was one of the beneficiaries on 7 September
The drive started on 3 September and ran through to 8 September. The giveaway saw representatives visiting a number of charities. Claire Conchar, marketing manager of the company said, “As a company, we look for meaningful ways to effect change. Our core business is in footwear and apparel and this donation is our way of giving back.”
Desiree Vundla, provincial area manager Child Welfare SA said, “This giveaway is a great initiative for corporates thinking about child welfare and the needs of the children and in making their lives better.”
Vundla said they were always willing to partner with businesses.
“We look forward to future initiatives with corporates such as this one [Skye Distribution] and we are incredibly grateful.”
