Midrand police spokesperson Matome Tlamela said, “Police followed the information and they spotted a white Nissan Micra that fitted the description. They immediately stopped the vehicle which had three people inside.”
When police asked the driver if he was the owner of the vehicle, he alleged that the vehicle belonged to his friend but failed to mention the friend’s name. Police tested the vehicle and it indicated that it was reported as stolen. The suspects were arrested and detained in the Midrand Police Station cells.
They will soon appear at the Midrand Magistrates’ Court facing charges of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
