Woman allegedly stabs boyfriend to death

IVORY PARK - A woman was recently arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing her boyfriend at Ivory Park Ext 2.

 

Ivory Park police Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “The 35-year-old woman and the deceased had an argument, fought and the woman grabbed a knife from the kitchen and allegedly stabbed the deceased in the middle of his body.”

The 40-year-old man passed away at the scene. The suspect was arrested after police received a call from community members. The suspect was detained in the Ivory Park Police Station cells, while the deceased was taken to a Germiston mortuary. She will soon appear in Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on a murder charge.

Ivory Park police are appealing to members of the community to report domestic violence to the police and not take matters into their own hands. Domestic violence reports can also be made at the station’s Victim Empowerment Centre where such issues are treated confidentially and seriously.
