Steyn City does its part for Mandela Day

FOURWAYS - WITH Mandela Day slowly creeping up, Steyn City is heeding a call to action to make a difference to those less fortunate.

The lifestyle resort is urging members from the local communities of Broadacres, Dainfern, Fourways and Lonehill to look in their drawers and cupboards for unwanted clothing items that can be donated to the needy in the neighbouring Diepsloot area.

Be it a pair of woollen gloves, a beanie, jersey, jacket, dresses, coats, or any other item of clothing that could go to greater use, Steyn City developers appeal to the public to drop it off at the Steyn City Cedar Gatehouse where Mandela Day volunteers will handle the collections.

All donated items will be collected by staff and contractors of Steyn City Properties on 17 July from 7am to 7pm, and 18 July from 9am to 4pm at the Cedar Road Gatehouse, where they aim to make the longest clothing line seen in the neighbourhood, a minimum of 67-metres long.
