Help find missing Midrand student

MIDRAND - Ipeleng Moholane, a 19-year-old student at Midrand Graduate Institute, has been missing since 16 May.

A picture of Moholane has been doing the rounds on social media and on posters at her varsity.

Morero Mo Sekaja, whose relation to Moholane is unclear, posted her picture on the People Who Live in Midrand Facebook page, begging residents to help find her. According to Sekaja she was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a cardigan with a red scarf, red skirt, stockings and ankle boots.

Sekaja also claimed that the last time Moholane was seen was in Pretoria CBD at around 7pm, boarding a taxi to Marabastad where she would catch another taxi to the Boulders taxi rank.

Ursula Ndhlovu, the institute’s media relations officer, said Moholane was indeed missing. “She was last seen on 16 May and her parents reported her missing to the police.”

Ndlovu said the institute had discovered that the last time Moholane came to the campus was at 12.30pm on 15 May.

“She is not a resident at one of our accommodations. She lives at home in President Park,” said Ndhlovu.

The institute has put up posters of Moholane around their campus and has called on all who might have information on her whereabouts to contact the police.
