Ivory Park Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said the complainant alleged that he and his girlfriend were sitting inside a VW Polo when three suspects surrounded the vehicle and pointed firearms at them. Sekgobela added, “The complainant and his girlfriend were forced to move to the backseat and suspects drove with them until they reached a deserted area on Olifantsfontein Road.”
The suspects tied up the complainant and took his girlfriend into a bush where the three suspects took turns to rape her. The suspects then took the complainant from the vehicle and left him and his girlfriend in the bush and drove off in his vehicle. Suspects stole the complainant’s bank cards and three cellphones. The victims were helped by patrolling security officials. The vehicle was later recovered in Benoni.
