Love and good will to all mankind

MIDRAND - The area's daycare centres celebrated love on 14 February in a number of ways.

Red and white were the order of the day for Little Lulu Day Care Centre’s costume party on 13 February.

The daycare centre based in Glen Austin was abuzz with excitement as they celebrated Valentine’s Day a day early.

“All the children arrived at school, dressed up in fancy dress, for their Valentine’s Day party,” said Lorraine Reiser, the centre’s principal and owner.

“The looks on the children’s faces when they saw one another all dressed up was priceless,” she said.

The school went all out for their pupils. There were two big jumping castles for them to enjoy and plenty of food to eat which added to the fun.

Poplar Academy’s Valentine’s celebrations ranged from their juniors all the way up to their senior phase classes.

“We have a children’s baking and cooking group at the Express!ons Centre every Friday afternoon,” said the centre’s owner and principal, Carla de Gouveia.

On the Friday leading up to the Valentine’s weekend, Poplar Academy pupils made heart-shaped cookies, and were excited to take them home and share them with their loved ones.

“The Express!ons team hopes that all our kids and their families had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and wish you all much love,” De Gouveia concluded.
