Constable Samuel Matumba has been appointed to the position. “All I would like is for the Midrand community to be unified against crime,” he said.
Tlamela said the previous sector commander had been replaced because she moved to a new police department. “We really wish her well in her new role at the human resources department.”
As for Matumba, he believes that his role is to serve as a link between the community and the police. “Policing is not just for police; I am calling on the community to work together with the police for a safer environment.”
