Police request relatives to identify body

IVORY PARK - Police are looking for the relatives of the body of a man who was found dead next to the R562 near Tswelopele in Ivory Park on 4 January.

Ivory Park police spokesperson Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said the deceased is believed to be between 28 and 33 years old. Sekgobela said, “The deceased was allegedly found by community members, police were informed and on arrival they found the body. The man has a stab wound on his chest.”

Police are requesting anyone who is looking for the missing male relative, in the aforementioned age group, to come forward for identification.

“We are also looking for any information that can led to his death. At this point police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death,” she said.

The body has been taken to Germiston Mortuary. Anyone with information regarding the deceased can contact Ivory Park police Detective Constable Simon Thaba on 074 619 9339 or 011 990 9667.
