Beaulieu College class of 2014 excels

KYALAMI – The matric pupils of Beaulieu College in Kyalami have achieved outstanding final results for this year.

KYALAMI – The matric pupils of Beaulieu College in Kyalami have achieved outstanding Independent Examination Board examinations results for this year.

“2014 has been another year of great success as our matrics excelled in their matric results,” said Beaulieu College’s marketing and communications manager, Lynette Gray.

The headmistress, Mrs Meikle, and her dedicated team of teachers can proudly celebrate the school’s 97 percent Bachelor Degree pass rate from the group of 78 students.

Students Eline Vijverberg, Paige Winfield and Tracy Ackermann achieved seven distinctions each.

Eline Vijverberg, one of Beaulieu College’s top achievers who received seven distinctions, has managed to keep a balance between academics, sports and social aspects throughout her school career. She has stuck to five basic rules that have helped her to achieve all the goals she has set out during her school years – and these rules could assist other pupils to achieve their goals, too.

The rules include listening in class, asking questions, planning your time by making timetables or setting goals or alarms, practicing on old exam papers and taking breaks.

Kay-Leigh Sussman, Giovanna Perry, Robyn Shaw and Anastasia Carnelley-Bruyns obtained six distinctions each.

Beaulieu College encourages their pupils not only to embrace academia, but also to excel in other platforms including those of a social nature. This, according to teachers and students, allows the students to make important connections and relationships for their future in the real world.

Kay-Leigh, another top achieving pupil at the college, was also the ambassador for the Hip2B² (Hip to be square) foundation for the past three years and has, through the foundation, learned many life lessons and achieved many goals.

She has enjoyed this journey because of the opportunities afforded to her which contribute to her community and she has formed many strong friendships and gained much through the HIP2B2 innovation challenges.
