In a statement to the police, she alleged that she had just reached 8th Road in the suburb when she was approached by two men.
The pair demanded that she give them her cellphone. She said because she was scared she gave her iPhone 4 to them.
The incident took place on 5 November and she claims she can identify the alleged thieves, if she were to see them again.
“They looked like construction workers,” she said.
Constable Matome Tlamela of the Midrand police, confirmed that a case of common robbery had been opened with them.
The incident comes after Midrand police issued a warning to joggers to be alert while jogging.
